Last month one of our experienced Travel Hostesses led a wonderful trip to Berlin, Germany. The group were all winners of an incentive having hit (and exceeded in many cases!) their company sales targets.

Effective Travel Solutions put together a bespoke itinerary based on the attendee profiles to ensure each and every winner would enjoy themselves. Why chose Berlin? Since the fall of the Berlin wall the city has cultivated a diverse multicultural population, with experimental creativity living in harmony with its many historic sites of interest.

For this particular group, we created a bespoke schedule to include a tantalising overview to this intriguing city. Using the wonderful Grand Hyatt Berlin hotel as our base for the weekend-long trip, guests were able to take time out and relax in the rooftop pool, as well as enjoying late night live music in the intimate hotel bar.

Once everyone had settled in (and sampled their first traditional German beers with lunch) our local guide Hans-Georg took the group on a private walking tour, taking in some of the city’s major sites including the Brandenburg Gate, Sony Centre and remnants of the original Berlin wall. Effective Travel Solutions selects tour guides with care to ensure the highest quality and Hans-Georg, having lived through the construction and fall of the Berlin wall is able to provide a fascinating personal insight.

Visible from across the city The Fernsehturm (a 1960s TV tower) is a fanstastic option for groups. With VIP entry to beat the queues (the tower only has two relatively small lifts to whisk you up 207m!) we took this group for a deluxe dinner in the revolving restaurant within this iconic building. Fine food and incredible views of a city that never sleeps were the perfect way to end the trip.
