The brief
To produce a full day itinerary for employees and their families (with children of all ages) to participate in raising funds for a nominated charity: Alzheimer’s Society
The day must include registration and distribution of branded t-shirts & lunch packs prior to the group activities, evening entertainment plus catering for adults and children alike.
Our solution
OWA Ceilings selected the beautiful area of Ross-on- Wye for this activity day. We worked with local guides to offer participants a choice of activity: a fun canoeing trip or low-impact walk.
The Effective Events team proposed the Hostelrie at Goodrich as ‘base camp’ for the event. On the day we dressed the garden with bright bunting and served a buffet of breakfast rolls to welcome guests. Each walker or canoeist was then registered and provided with one-off event t-shirts and individual packed lunches.
Each family had a choice of sponsored activity so canoeists were collected in minibuses headed for the River Wye, while those preferring terra firma set off on a circular walk.
Whilst the groups were out enjoying the views and the lovely summer weather, we set-up an array of fun entertainments for the children: a circus ring to learn new skills and potter around on stilts, face-painting and balloon animal modelling. Plus a live band, bar tab and sumptuous BBQ to keep the adults happy too!
We even pitched tents for some weary participants to stay over in a beautiful nearby campsite.
