In October 2011 we had great pleasure in organising the annual internal conference and GBM (Global Business Model) celebration and awards dinner for First Drinks. After co-ordinating 160 attendees arriving from various airports across the UK, the event started with lunch at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim Dublin, followed by an afternoon conference.
The awards dinner was held at Tattersalls with Nigel Barden as the guest speaker, to celebrate the hard work and effort that had gone into launching GBM at First Drinks. Guests were treated with dishes all made from local produce, in keeping with the “Irish True” theme for the event.
The following day we organised a visit to the Tullamore Dew visitor’s centre and distillery where guest enjoyed a tasting of the range of Tullamore Dew along with a detailed tour and history of the brand. That afternoon was spent at leisure with golf and spa treatments if desired.
That evening everyone enjoyed a Tullamore Dew dinner with live local music and a mixologist on hand preparing unique brand specific cocktails.
Great fun was had by all when we set-up and ran a stand for Mount Gay at this years’ UK Rumfest held at Olympia 2 over 2 days in October.
The Rumfest is the world’s biggest festival to celebrate the diversity of rum and its’ rapidly growing popularity.
This year Mount Gay served over 1500 samples of their Eclipse and Extra Old brands with Chester Browne – the Global Brand Ambassador for Mount Gay showcasing Mount Gay punch.
Over the 2 days visitors were treated to access to over 400 rums available to sip, savour and buy. Live cocktail demonstrations were available with Rum master classes conducted by industry experts and master blenders.
Both days were loud and lively with live musical entertainment including salsa, soca, reggae, zouk and samba!
